About the Kwicherbichen Bikini Team

Most people that ask about the Kwicherbichen Bikini Team want to know what the name means and how it was chosen. The bikini team got it's name from our original perfomance boating website called Kwicherbichen. The name"Kwicherbichen" is a play on the three words "Quit your bitching" combined. The original performance boating website loosely got the name from a flat bottom race boat that was popular in the 1970's.

Lots of heavenly bodies at Lake Havasu The original Kwicherbichen website started in late 2001 and catered to the Hot Boat scene of the Colorado River areas like Lake Havasu. During the summer months areas of the Colorado River, such as Lake Havasu, draw huge crowds of partiers and spring breakers looking for a vacation and good times. The focus of these good times involve high performance boats, hot looking women in bikinis, and lots of cocktails. Since the boats, babes, and cocktails are the main things going on, the website naturally covered them.

Babe of the Month Miranda RoxIn January 2003 Kwicherbichen started featuring a boat, bikini babe, and cocktail each month and was an instant hit. In April, after discussions with top photographer Kim Riley, the bikini team was introduced. The original team was 5 members and was only meant to be a novelty and make the visitors stick around longer. The orginal 5 member team turned out to be a hit and within a month hundreds of models from around the world were asking to be on the team. The team started growing quick and by the end of 2003 it had close to 30 members in 3 states.

In early 2004 the bikini team had picked up a good head of steam and was preparing to break away from the boating website and be featured alone. Then, before the break could happen, the host of the original boat site started to experience technical difficulties. The hosting problem caused the site to go down frequently and loose regular members and new visitors. At that point it was determined that the market for a boating site was pretty well saturated and the main draw was for the bikini team anyway. Although the boating site was an excellent site and had good rankings it was scrapped in June 2004 to focus on the bikini team and their website.

In mid 2005 the bikini team was put on hold because the team owner & founder was developing other ventures and the team's photographer, Kim Riley, moved to Texas. The team was still mildly active but some of the models moved on to get married, start families, or explore other opportunities. In late 2007 the owner chose to fire up the team again and began recruiting a new group of ladies and a new photographer. This group new group would be more strictly based in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas of Southern California. The new group was only limited by the amount of stunning women that wanted to be a part of this now world famous bikini team. In 2008 and 2009 the team began working with photographers Mike Prado and Steve Cain.

Other plans for Kwicherbichen in 2009 and 2010 include a redesign of the website and Kwicherbichen Apparel. If you are a website designer, graphic artist, clothing designer we would love to hear from you and see your work
